Take it from this engineer - even duct tape would be at best a
temporary solution.
The only solutions that I can consider to be sufficiently
permanent would be either bolting or welding.
It wouldn't kill SMRT to get some Banglas down there with
oxyacetylene torches or hand drills with some bolts and
nuts.
In this case, cable ties can kill.
Literally.
so they took all of 5+ hours yesterday to do that....and for a
permanent and lasting (if it's possible), how much downtime? think
i should get a bike and cycle...
